Eugene L. "Gene" Miller

Eugene L. “Gene” Miller, 86 of Gaylord, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw. Born on February 12, 1931 in Dearborn Heights, he was the son of Norman and Myrtle (Irving) Miller.

For over 20 years, Gene and his brother-in-law, Oscar, owned and operated a service station, Pappys Arco in Belleville. Upon retirement, he moved to Gaylord and worked for Triple M Tire for his son, Larry. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at the Miller hunting camp.

On March 10, 1950, Gene married Maxine Brown. He is survived by his wife of 67 years; his children, David (Connie) Miller of Posen, Michael Miller of Grayling and Larry (Mary) Miller of Gaylord; nine loving grandchildren; many special great-grandchildren; his sister, Janet (Oscar) Fredrick of Belleville and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Norm and Robert; and his sisters, Susan and June.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 A.M.
