Etta Marie Gibson, 92 of Vanderbilt, died at her daughter’s home in Vanderbilt on Thursday, January 31, 2013 with her family by her side. Born on October 23, 1920 in Wolverine, Etta was the daughter of James Edward and Etta (Woods) Sullivan. She worked for many years and was retired from Standard Products in Gaylord where she was a press operator. She enjoyed traveling, and in retirement spent many winters in Arizona. Etta also enjoyed gardening, bowling and dancing. She was a longtime member of Pigeon River Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Spreeman of Vanderbilt; eight grandchildren; Randy (Brian Miniard) Spreeman of Vanderbilt, Ricky (Laura) Spreeman of Vanderbilt, Russell (Mandy) Spreeman of Vanderbilt, Roger (Katherine) Spreeman of Vanderbilt, Debbie (Warren) Warzinski of Detroit, Natalie Gibson of Petoskey, Danny (Birdie) Gibson of Vanderbilt and Brian Gibson of Sheridan; many great grandchildren and a sister, Esther Lockman of East Jordan. Etta was preceded in death by a son Gary Gibson in 2005, and by several siblings. Visitation at Gaylord Funeral & Cremation Service, 850 North Center Ave., will begin at 12:00 noon Monday, February 4, 2013 where funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Allen Ballard of Pigeon River Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Vanderbilt.
