Elizabeth M. Moyer

Elizabeth M.”Betty” Moyer, 93 of Gaylord, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Medilodge of Gaylord.

Born on January 31, 1925 in Laingsburg, Betty was the daughter of Joseph and Iva (Kincaid) Cauchon.  As a young girl the family moved to Johannesburg where she grew up and attended school.

On December 25, 1941 Betty married Clifford C. Moyer.  They lived in Johannesburg where thy raised their four children and spent most of their life.

Betty attended Gaylord Church of the Nazarene.  She loved music, a gift she passed on to her children; she also enjoyed playing for the elderly.  Betty loved living life in the country and she enjoyed arts and crafts.

She was preceded by her husband, Clifford, in 1973.  Surviving are her children, Sharon “Shary”(Ken) Boughner of Skanee, Clifford “Buck” (Sharon) Moyer, Donald (Carol) Moyer and Jo Anne “Jody” (Butch) Fleming all of Gaylord; grandchildren, Lori, Todd, Shannon, Ronnie, Wendy, Brenda, Allen and Jason; 21 great grandchildren; 16 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers, a grandson, Clifford E. Moyer and a great grandson, Caleb Terpstra.

The family will visit with friends from 4:00-7:00 PM Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  Funeral services will be held at Gaylord Church of Nazarene at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 26, 2018 Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 AM.  Interment will take place in the spring at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Johannesburg.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the church or to Hospice of Michigan.
