Elaine E Smith

Elaine E. Smith, 89, of Boyne City, died at Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix on Saturday, July 5, 2014. Born in Detroit on April 23, 1925, Elaine was the daughter of Judson and Viola (Colquitt) McWain.
She had lived in Lincoln Park and Charlevoix before moving to Boyne City to live in Litzenberger Place. She was retired from Wolverine Power Supply where she was a bookkeeper. Elaine enjoyed her family and reading.
She is survived by sons Don Cooper of East Jordan and Grand Rapids and Mark Cooper of Ionia; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and her sister, Carol Sue (Robert) Goodenough of East Jordan. Elaine was preceded in death by her husbands, William Cooper and George Smith; her daughters, Elizabeth Miller and Judy Schalkofski; her son Chris Cooper; her parents and her brother Leslie Judson “Donald” McWain.
Memorial services will be held later at Boyne City First Presbyterian Church. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the family or the Deacons Fund of Boyne City First Presbyterian Church.
