Dorothy J. Faulkner

Dorothy Jean Faulkner, 81 of Petoskey, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Harbor Springs.

Born on May 12, 1936 in Petoskey, Dorothy was the daughter of Allen and Nina (Johnson) Niswander.  She was a lifelong area resident.

In 1952 Dorothy married Eugene Faulkner in Petoskey.  Retired when she was 59 from  AT&T.  She had also worked at Plaid Land and Montgomery Ward.  She enjoyed playing golf and going for walks, loved her family functions and her First Christian Church family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene in 1976.  Surviving are her children, Sandy (Ed) Fettig of Harbor Springs and David Faulkner of Petoskey; grandchildren, Jason and Maximos; great grandchildren, Allaynnah, Kaylana and Kiarra; sisters, Mary (Jim) Galmore of Petoskey, Ethel Maves of Indian River and Allene Enbody of Ludington; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Koteskey.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at First Christian Church, 308 Monroe St, Petoskey, MI  49770.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to First Christian Church.
