Dorothy A. Alsobrooks

Dorothy A. Alsobrooks, 89 of Lewiston, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 14, 1929.  Dorothy enjoyed gardening, crafts, reading and just getting together with family and friends.  She was smart and efficient in everything she did.  It would be remiss not to mention her love of Twizzlers licorice and an afternoon dish of ice cream.

She was preceded in death by Grady, her husband of 71 years.  Dorothy is survived by her four sons and one daughter, Glen Alsobrooks(Roberta) of Lewiston, Lynn Meissner (John) of Lewiston and Hartland; Ronald Alsobrooks (Phyllis) of Temecula, CA, Chris Alsobrooks (Carol) of Livonia and Mark Alsobrooks (Tammy) of Gaylord; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

As were Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.  To honor Dorothy’s memory, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan, 830 South Otsego Avenue, Gaylord, MI  49735.
