Donald G Johnston

Donald George Johnston, 76 of Gaylord, died on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Tendercare Gaylord. Born on May 2, 1938 in Sebewaing, Don was the son of Owen and Mary (Freihaut) Johnston. A longtime Gaylord resident, Don worked at Moorhead Ford and Hops & Schnapps. He was a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed boating and fishing. Don is survived by his children, Stephen, Michelle and Lisa; sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Briggs of Mt. Pleasant and Ona (Bob) Tillay of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Charles Johnston of Dearborn and several nieces and nephews. Private family services are planned. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 850 North Center Avenue.
