Don Nolan Jamison

Don Nolan Jamison, 79 of Gaylord, died on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Tendercare of Gaylord. Born on October 19, 1934 in Bradford, TN, he was the son of Johnie and Cleo (Nolan) Jamison. Don was a truck driver for many years transporting automobiles. On June 19, 1954 he married Sandra Beckley in Flint. For several years in retirement they spent summers in Cheboygan and wintered in North Fort Myers, FL. After spending the last 6 years in Florida, they returned to Michigan three months ago and settled in Gaylord. Don also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; a son, Michael L. Jamison of Flint; grandchildren, Nicole and Kayla Davidson and Erin Drew Stearman; sisters, Sharon Hobson and Mary Bremmer; sisters-in-law, Sue (Bob) Higley, Pam Taylor and Bobbie Laviolette; and a brother-in-law, Jim Beckley. Don was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Ann Davidson in 2013; sons, Jeffrey Lane Jamison in 2013 and Donald Mark Jamison in 2008; his daughter-in-law, Karen I. Jamison in 2009; a sister, Cheri Fraser and brothers, James and Rex Jamison. Don’s family has chosen to remember him privately.
