Dieter A Meyer

Dieter A. Meyer, 76, of Gaylord passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012 after a short stay at Tendercare of Gaylord.
Born in Germany on June 10, 1936, Dieter moved to the Detroit area in 1956 where he was employed at the Fleetwood General Motors plant for 32 years.
After retiring in 1988 he moved to the Gaylord area. Dieter is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha; his daughter, Heidi (Kevin) Salisbury of Flatrock, MI; his son, Alan (Rose) Meyer of Dearborn, MI; sisters, Ruth (Werner) Bertram of Germany, Rita (Heinz) Widder of Saline, MI, Heidi Valentin, Christa (Klaus) Westerhold and Petra Meyer all of Germany and brother Hans (Linda) Meyer of Gaylord. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Tabitha, Samantha, Bobbi, Justin, David, Jeremy and Jessie as well as 3 great grandchildren, Zackary, Andriana and Abigail all of the greater Detroit area.
