Dianne P. Hungo

Dianne P. (Kaminski) Hungo, 75 of Alanson, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, at home. Born in Wyandotte, MI., on May 16, 1949, the daughter of John Paul and Mary Frances (Greer) Kaminski.

Dianne grew up in Southgate, Michigan where she graduated from Southgate High School in 1968. She migrated to Northern Michigan in her 20’s. She loved being up North, calling it Gods country. Dianne had a heart of gold, often giving more then she had. She was generous, kind and loved people. Dianne worked at the library where she enjoyed helping and talking with people. Up until her passing, she was active at Zion Christian Fellowship in Brutus where she was on the church board, president of the women’s fellowship group and always willing to jump in and help wherever it was needed. Devoted to her church, she supported activities, events, provide food and help in the kitchen. She enjoyed going out to eat with friends and the T.O.P.S. workout group kept her healthy with good fellowship and movement. She loved her cats and taking care of them. We will miss Dianne, but we know she is home at last!

She is survived by her son, William (Tami) Hungo of Harbor Springs; her brother, Mark (Priscilla) Kaminski of Wyandotte; two grandsons, William (Meganne) Hungo and James Hungo; sister-in-law, Debbie Kaminski; her niece, Mary (Bel) Kaminski-Behnke; nephews, Alexander Markos and Aaron Kaminski; grandniece, Luca Jane; several special friends and church friends that turned into family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will take place 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Littlefield Township Cemetery in Alanson. The family will visit with friends beginning at 11:00 AM with a celebration of life service at 12:00 PM also on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Zion Christian Fellowship, 6590 Maple River Road, Brutus, MI 49716. Pastor Rod Sydow will officiate. A luncheon will follow. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Christian Fellowship, 3792 Red School Road, Brutus, MI 49716, or to the local humane society.
