Dennis E. Wagner

Dennis E. Wagner, 54 of Petoskey, passed away at home on Friday, May 4, 2018.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, he was the son of Donald and Mary (Healy) Wagner.  Dennis moved to Charlevoix with his family as a toddler and was an area resident most of his life.

In 1997, while playing cards with friends, Dennis met Angela (Vettraino) Clancy.  This began their 20 year relationship and on March 5, 2017 they were married at Belle Isle in Detroit.

For several years, Dennis was a table games dealer at Odawa Casino, a job he loved.  He left in 2013 for health reasons.  During his life he had also worked at Fed Ex and as a plumber.

Dennis was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan.  He also enjoyed woodworking, working in his yard, spending time on the lake in a pontoon boat and walking in the woods, especially in search of mushrooms.  He will be remembered as always being ready to help others.

Surviving is his wife, Angela; step daughters, Marie and Colleen Clancy; a step granddaughter, Nevena; his sister-in-law, Grace Vettraino; his uncle, Joe; and his aunt, Glenda.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Sean Clancy and a sister-in-law, Nina Vettraino.
