Dennis R. Hughey

Dennis R. Hughey, 57 of Boyne Falls passed away at home on Monday, June 1, 2015. Born in Petoskey on January 11, 1958, he was the son of Neil and Elaine (Rakoczy) Hughey.

Dennis’ pride and joy were his friends, family and grandchildren who will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his girlfriend of 11 years, Katherine Devers; children, Denise (Scott) Elzinga of Boyne City, Shannon Hughey of Cadillac, Nickcoal Hughey of Boyne City, and Dennis Hughey Jr. of Cocoa Beach, FL; step-daughters, Angela (Charles) Brooks of Boyne City and Sarah (Jason) Loving of Boyne Falls; many loving grandchildren; brothers, Bryan (Darlene) Hughey and Craig Hughey of Petoskey; sisters, Karen Wager of Petoskey and Tina (Stuart) Galgerud of Montana. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Allen Hughey.

A luncheon celebrating Dennis’ life will take place on at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Whiting Park, Pavilion 1, 5820 Lake Shore Road in Boyne City.
