Deborah Jo North

Deborah Jo North, 55 of Petoskey, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Bortz Health Care of Petoskey. Born on November 1, 1957 in Detroit, Deborah was the daughter of Richmond and Frances (Mayer) North. She lived in Sault Ste Marie for several years and later settled in Petoskey. Deborah enjoyed collecting angels and doing needlepoint. She always enjoyed her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Always very caring, she will be remembered for her willingness to always help others and her tenacity in facing a lifetime of challenges. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie North-Dickensheets and SSg. Matthew Dickensheets of Fort Campbell, KY; grandchildren Brienna North, Mackinzy Ashley, Payten North, Matthew Dickensheets II all of Fort Campbell, KY and Aryianna Dickensheets of Kincheloe, MI; her father, Richmond North; two sisters and four brothers. Memorial services for Deborah will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, September 23rd at Fresh Start Church, 2501 US 31 North in Petoskey. Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Gaylord.
