Deborah Lynn Long

Deborah Lynn Long, 64 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. 

Born on August 27, 1957, in Detroit, Debbie was the daughter of Edward J. and Emma J. (Broome) Cseh.  On April 5, 1974, she was united in marriage to Steven K. Long, he preceded her in death on March 2, 2016.  She and Steven were members of Grace Baptist Church in Gaylord. 

Debbie’s family will remember her as a devoted and loving wife and mother who loved children.  She was a selfless, giving, role model for her family who always showed kindness and understanding. 

She loved to travel, having enjoyed many trips, including those to Israel and Hawaii, and she was always looking forward to the next adventure.  She will also be remembered as the “craft queen”, with entire rooms dedicated to the collection of her many projects and supplies. 

Debbie is survived by seven children, Jason Long of Roseville, Sarah Long of Gaylord, Kelly (James) West of Roseville, Wendy (Steven) Young of Roseville, Nellie Long of Gaylord, Jesse Long of Gaylord and Joshua Long of Gaylord; 8 grandchildren; her father, Edward Cseh of Unadilla, GA; sisters, Victoria Lopo of Frankenmuth, Linda (Paul) Sears of Northport, FL, and Debbie (David) Swantek of Armada; a brother, Edward Toarmino of Harrison Township; and several nieces and nephews.  She also dearly loved her pet monkey, Meeka.

In addition to her husband, Steven; she was preceded in death by her mother, Emma; and a son, Jeremy Long.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2022, at Grace Baptist Church in Gaylord where visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.  Interment will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Grace Baptist Church.
