Dean N. Padgett

Dean Nickolas Padgett, 31 of Gaylord, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at home.

Dean was born in Petoskey on February 1, 1993. He loved anything to do with motorcycles, rooting for U of M, the Detroit Lions or watching football. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, bowling, concerts and had a need for speed. He owned and operated a painting business, something he was very proud of. His greatest pride and joy was his daughter, Harper.

He is survived by his 3 year old daughter, Harper Padgett of Vanderbilt; his parents, Bobbie Jo Hulburt, Denny (Iris) Padgett; step-mother, Kathleen Terzano; step-father, Gordon Hulburt; sister, Josephine (Paul) Murray; grandparents, John and Susanne Padgett of Gaylord, John and Rose Paepke of Greenville, MI; step-brothers and sisters, Johnathon (Leanne) Padgett all of Gaylord, Jessica (Brandon) Nico of Elk Rapids, Andrew (Kara) Hulburt of Elk Rapids and Andrew Padgett of Greenville, MI; and many uncles, aunts nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Connie Taskey, step-grandparents, Gordon and Darlene Hulburt; step-mother, Sarah Padgett, step-sister, Zoey Padgett and grandmother, Erma O’Rourke.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM Friday, October 4, 2024, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, followed by continued celebration of his life at the Pine Squirrel from 2:30-5:00 PM.
