David Brian Hobson

David Brian Hobson, 66 of Wolverine, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey.

Born in Marlette, Michigan on August 4, 1952, David was the son of William and Virginia (Jeroue) Hobson.  The family moved to Indian River in 1956 where David graduated from Inland Lakes High School in 1970.

After high school, David served in the United States Air Force.  He later returned to Michigan, living in Marquette for a time before moving home to Indian River and later to Wolverine.

David worked for several years in metal fabrication and later as a surveyor for the Oil Industry.  He enjoyed his work and the travel that it required.  In his spare time he enjoyed boating and fishing, building and racing remote control model boats and spending time with his family.  He was a longtime member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #4046 in Indian River.

David is survived by is longtime companion, Linda Allen of Wolverine; his sister, Joan (Ronald) Woods of Wolverine; nieces and nephews, Kara (Jay) Passino, Todd (Carol) Woods and Ryan (Laura) Woods; six great nieces and nephews and Linda’s daughters, Angel Krueger and Candace Krueger.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William “Billy” Hobson Jr and a nephew, Kevin Woods.
