David J. Roznowski

David J. Roznowski, 80 of Comins, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Medilodge of Gaylord.

Born in Bay City, Michigan on November 28, 1943, he was the son of Chester and Victoria (Lewandowski) Roznowski. David grew up in Bay City, graduating from Handy High School in 1962. Shortly after graduating, he joined the U.S. Army, serving for three years before returning home to Bay City.

On September 14, 1968, David and Linda Pacynski were married at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bay City. They made their home in Bay City where they raised their family.

David worked for 30 years as a machine operator at General Motors, retiring in 1998. Later that year, David and Linda moved to Comins where they spent their retirement.

David always enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed camping. He loved doing these things with his real pride and joy, his yellow Lab, Honey. For 47 years, he and his family enjoyed annual trips to Drummond Island. For the last several years, he and Linda have spent 6 months of each year on the island.

He is survived by Linda, his wife of 56 years; his son, Scott (Nicole Battle) Roznowski of Gaylord; a granddaughter, Jaylyn Roznowski; a brother, Donald Roznowski; three nieces and one nephew; and his longtime best friend, Louis (Mary) Pelletier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Roznowski.

In keeping with his wishes, his family will remember him privately. Please share your memories and personal messages with the family on his guestbook below.
