Cathy Marie Moss

Cathy Marie Moss, 58 of Johannesburg, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Born in Lansing on September 19, 1956, Cathy was the daughter of Elgin and Dorothy (Woodard) Yerrick. She was a 1974 graduate of Algonac High School.

On June 19, 1976 Cathy married David A. Moss. Longtime area residents, Cathy was a beautician and the owner of Sheer Innovation in Atlanta and attended Atlanta Congregational Church. In her earlier years she worked as a flight attendant. Cathy loved horses and she enjoyed hunting, four wheeling and snowmobiling. Active in the Atlanta area, she was a fundraiser for Hospice of Michigan and a charter member of Atlanta Thunder Bay Eagles 4077.

Survivors include her husband David; her children, Shawn Moss of Watersmeet, MI, Rodney (Kimi) Moss of Waterford; and a stepson, Chris (Claudette)Moss of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Kassidy, Trey, Lila, Madalyn, Jenna and Jayden Moss; a brother, Ron (Lora) Yerrick of Saginaw; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bruce Yerrick and a sister, Brenda Duverney.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Atlanta Junior/Senior High School. A reception will follow at 12:30 at Thunder Bay Eagles #4077. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan, 830 South Otsego Avenue, Gaylord, MI 49735.
