Carolyn Ann Cloutier

Carolyn Ann Cloutier, 88 of Boyne City, formerly of Harbor Springs passed away on April 6, 2024.   She was a loving daughter, wife, sister and aunt.

Carolyn was born on January 18, 1936, in Ecorse Michigan to parents Ida and Edward Daniel Smith. She was a graduate of Ecorse High School and was a long-time employee of Ford Motor Company before her retirement.

On November 16, 1957, she married James R. Cloutier, also of Ecorse. They were happily married for 66 years and enjoyed golf, tennis, skiing and traveling together. She and James were also avid fans of the Harbor Springs Rams sporting events.   Carolyn was a long-time member of the Harbor Springs Presbyterian Church.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, James; sisters, Janet Richards, Catherine Muniz, sisters-in-law, Antoinette Smith and Cheryl Smith and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents Ida and Edward Daniel Smith, brothers Edward Ralph Smith, Robert Curtis Smith; niece, Suzanne Smith; brothers-in-law, George P. Richards and Aniceto Muniz Jr.

Per Carolyn’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. She will be interred at Harbor Springs Lakeview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Carolyn’s honor to McLaren Hospice of Petoskey or the hospice of your choice.
