Carole J. Mottinger

Carole J. Mottinger was born on April 13, 1945, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Leon Johnson and Juanita Plunkett. Carole was a devout Christian and went home to her Lord and Savior on March 2, 2025.

Carole deeply loved her family, friends, and pets, especially Miss Muffin, with whom she spent 18 years. Miss Muffin was just recently reunited with her. Carole spent her life creating many wonderful memories that her family and friends will cherish in the years to come. She enjoyed several hobbies, which included crotchet, knitting, and quilting. Each quilt made fully by hand. In her spare time, she loved to fish, bird watch and watch old movies.

Carole had a wonderful sense of humor and could make almost anyone smile and laugh.

She is survived by her son, Mark Mottinger; daughter, Julie (Larry) Church; grandsons, Trent Woods and Nathaniel Mottinger; brother, John (Rosetta) White; nieces, Peggy Lahusky, Brenda Wollard, Sara White; nephew Calvin White; and her aunts, Patricia Treadwell and Nancy Shippell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David A. White, and sister, Betty J. Johnson.

A special thank you to her friend, Tammi, from our family!

A private family memorial gathering will take place in the summer.

Please share your memories and personal messages with the family on her guestbook below.
