Carol Lynn Buxton

Carol Lynn Buxton Kelley, 76 of Gaylord, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at The Porches. Born in Bad Ave, MI., on September 11, 1948, the daughter of Morris and Irma (Raymond) Buxton.

Carol was a master gardener, loved being outside, canoeing, snowshoeing and traveling. She and David traveled in their RV extensively, driving from Alaska to Arizona and everywhere in between. She was an on-air personality at WWRM-FM 106.7 radio station in Gaylord for many years. She also taught in the Johannesburg-Lewiston School system and did marketing for the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her stepson, Corbin (Kathleen) Kelley; granddaughter, Ashlyn; and her sister-in-law, Carol DeGrange. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Kelley who passed away one month and one day before her. 

A memorial gathering will take place from 10AM to 12PM Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Otsego County Conservation District, 800 Livingston Blvd., Suite 4A, Gaylord, MI 49735.
