Carol Marie Arnold

Carol Marie Arnold, 71 of Gaylord, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Gaylord.

Born on May 2, 1951, in Sparr, she was the daughter of Harold and Helen (Boughner) Kidder.  Carol was a graduate of Johannesburg High School.

Carol and her family lived in Florida for a few years before moving back to Michigan.  They lived in Barton City and McBain until after her husband, John’s death in 2010.  Seven years ago, Carol moved back to Gaylord to be near her family.

Primarily a homemaker, Carol worked when she was a young woman at Gaylord’s Sugar Bowl restaurant.  A loving wife, mom, and grandmother, she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, quilting, baking, and gardening.  She also loved camping and riding horses. Always an animal lover, she enjoyed her dogs, Brandi and Max, and many others throughout her life.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Suzanna (Eric) Davis of Gaylord, Anna Cook of Gaylord and Elizabeth (Scott) Achor of Russiaville, IN; her step children, Alisha Arnold of Midland, Ben (Grace) Arnold of Midland and John Arnold of Bridgeville, PA; grandchildren, Josh, Alex (Heidi), Willow, Dakoda, Christopher (Vanessa), Sydney (Brayden), Tifanee, Coree (Eric), Ashley (Josh), Trevor (Hailey), Hanna (Nate), Natasha (Devon), Alexandria, Grace (John), Faith (Michael), Chase, Leland, Kara, Luna and Shea; 18 great grandchildren; her companion, Keith Meyers of Gaylord; sisters, Nadia Kidder of Johannesburg and Terie (Brian) Biddinger of Blanchard; brothers, Leonard Kidder of Gaylord and Robert (Irene) Kidder of Gaylord; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.  Interment will follow at 1:00 PM Monday, July 11, 2022 at Riverside Township cemetery in McBain.
