Calvin E. Baker

Calvin E. Baker, 67 of Traverse City, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City, after a battle with Merkel Cell carcinoma.  He joins his parents, Jack and Helen Baker who preceded him in death.

He proudly served in the US Army stationed in Germany.

He enjoyed building and remodeling homes with friends and fellow builders and designers Art Vanas and Don Wyant.

Cal is survived by his wife Dianne and his sister Nancy Jo.

He was a loving father to Rob and Karin and grandfather to Aria, Olivier, Sveta and Yulia.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

He was a lifelong friend to many, especially Steve and Pam.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, his devotion to his family and for his love of his dogs.

Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in Calvin’s memory to Munson Hospice House, Traverse City or Flushing United Methodist Church.

His memorial will be held at Flushing United Methodist Church on Friday, October 11, 2019 with a visitation from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. and his memorial at 6:00 P.M.
