Buddy Allen Lewis Sr

Buddy Allen Lewis Sr., 40 of East Jordan, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Born on November 11, 1974 in Omaha, NE, he lived for several years in Baldwin, FL where he graduated from high school.

Buddy graduated from Baldwin, FL in 1991 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1991-1995. A “jack of all trades”, he had worked as a truck driver, carpenter and mechanic. Buddy and his family moved from Jacksonville, FL to northern Michigan in 2000. He worked at Lexamar in Boyne City and was attending Kirtland College at the Gaylord University Center. Buddy enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his kids play sports.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Buddy Jr, Jorge, Matthew, Brandon and Shianna; his sister, Andrea Hickman and his brother, Mike Emigh both of Orlando, FL; a nephew, Dustin Goodman and great niece, Autumn Goodman. He is also survived by Patricia’s family; his mother and father-in-law, Laura and Frank Steinhoff Jr. of Boyne City; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Alicia, Frankie III, Daniel and Laura Steinhoff all of Boyne City, Jasmine Steinhoff of Charlevoix and Daniel Kayser and his family; as well as nieces and nephews, Damien, Jacob, Nathan, Ava, Frankie IV and Bella. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Shaw in 2000 and by his grandfather, Franklin Steinhoff Sr. in 2013.

Buddy’s family will remember him at a memorial service at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan. The family will visit with friends at the church beginning at 3:00 P.M.
