Bonnie L. Weaver, 82 of Alanson, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at her home.

Bonnie was born in Atlanta, Michigan on October 16, 1933, the daughter of Carl and Gladys (Rea) Allen.  She grew up in Wolverine and graduated from Wolverine High School.

On May 14, 1952, she married Dick Weaver in Wolverine.  The couple made their home in Petoskey, moving to Alanson in 1986.

Bonnie proudly worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years and later worked in home healthcare.  She was a member of the New Life Anglican Church in Petoskey.

She is survived by her three children, Paul (Melanie) Weaver of Harbor Springs, Jake (John) Sarzynski of Centerline and Val (Brian) Bate of Auburn, WA; granddaughters, Brie (Mark) Largent and Rachel Weaver (Tyler Olevson); great-grandchildren, Anne, Elsa and Mae Largent.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and an infant son.

Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Northwest Michigan.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., April 15, 2016, at New Life Anglican Church on State Street in Petoskey.  Pastor Michael Bridge will officiate.  Bonnie’s family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
