Bonnie L. Schreur

Bonnie L. Schreur, 93 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at home. 

The summer heat brought Gus and Rhoda (Gault) Olund a beautiful daughter in July 1931. A daughter whose journey would cross 93 wonderful years both starting and ending in Gaylord, MI. 

Bonnie was to all who knew her kind, charming, and painfully stubborn. She loved like she played euchre: hard, fast, and without yielding. These attributes helped her raise three strong children: Jon, Jay, and Sally (Lee) Secord. She then further passed on her wisdom to her grandchildren: Tara, Sloan, and Blair (Ankenbrandt) Secord and Brandon Lee. And perhaps accepting the most stubbornness as well as kindness is her great-granddaughter, Gabby Secord. 

"Mor Mor" passed peacefully in her lifelong home, surrounded by her family, her kitty Cody, while listening to Elvis. We can't imagine she would have wanted anything else except maybe a Manhattan with a nice kick. Please hold her in your hearts forever and know she is at peace, and probably raising a little hell, with her husband Robert Schreur.
