Biogio Tumminello

Biogio Tumminello, 86 of Harbor Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2024, surrounded by his wife and family. He was born in Lansing on February 10, 1938, to Frank and Beatrice Tumminello.

Biogios’ passion and profession was auto engineering, where he helped design the diesel engine at General Motors. He was also an avid skier and bowler and enjoyed fishing. 

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, LaVaun Reyner Tumminello; sons, Allen Tumminello of Alma, AR., Daniel (Angie) Tumminello of Carson City, NV; daughters, Julie (David) Carrington of Star City, AR., Jodie (Freddie) Hallman of Alexandria, LA; step-children, Laura Reyner, Melissa (Jeff) Miller all of Lansing, MI., and Brian (Sarah) Reyner of Newtown Square, PA; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sam and Anthony Tumminello. 

A memorial service will take place 11:00 AM Friday, October 4, 2024, at Main Street Baptist Church, 544 East Main Street, Harbor Springs, MI 49740. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Little Traverse Conservancy.
