Billy A. Dickson

Billy Allen Dickson, 72 of Atlanta, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015.

Born in Cass City on March 20, 1943, he was the son of Frederick and Doradeen (Merrill) Dickson. The family moved to Atlanta, which is where Bill graduated from high school. He left Atlanta to serve in the U.S. Army.

For many years he worked as a truck driver before eventually moving back to Atlanta about 30 years ago. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushrooming, cooking and canning. He especially enjoyed spending time gathering with his many friends.

Bill is survived by his children, Denise (Jay Matt) Dickson, Brian (Danielle) Dickson, Bill (Renee) Dickson, Bridget (Mike) Morgan and Kathleen (Dave Pawlowski) Dickson; and grandchildren, Christina, Michelle, Katie, Zachary, Lauren, Karily, Kristopher, Kayla, Billy, Elizabeth, Gabriel, Olivia, Daniel, Kirkland and Allison. Also surviving are sisters, Mary (Harvey) Niedrich, Linda Stevens and Judy Duncan; many nieces and nephews as well as his many friends.

Bill’s family will remember him at a memorial gathering the will be held later. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice Advantage.
