Beverly Jean Mruk

Beverly Jean Mruk, 88 of Cheboygan, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey. Born on February 11, 1929 in Detroit, she was the daughter of Harold and Lola (Holman) Knapp.

Beverly was a member of the Cheboygan Yacht Club and the Cheboygan Hospital Auxiliary.  She was an avid longtime softball player and she enjoyed raising Appaloosa Horses.

She is survived by her son, Michael Collins and his wife Erin Collins of Vail, CO.; a daughter, Denise Collins of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Jessica Shuck, Ryan and Katie Collins;  great grandchildren, Gabriel and Catherine Shuck; and her very good friend, Doug Peash of Cheboygan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Henry.

A celebration of her life will be held in the spring.  Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola with her late husband.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Brook in Cheboygan.
