Betty Lou Heffner passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.

Betty was born on the famous Chishlom Trail in Commanche County, Oklahoma on December 21, 1940, the daughter of Arthur and Ruby (Shaw) Keck. Betty graduated from Elgin, Oklahoma High School in 1959.

Betty was a homemaker, wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her church, flower garden, cooking, bird feeding and most of all, her family.

Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Duane Heffner. She is also survived by her children, Tammy (Shannon) Johnson, Susan (Keith) Franklin, Steven (Gina) Heffner and Todd (Marci) Heffner; grandchildren, Logan Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Kaylee Johnson, KJ Franklin, Nick Franklin, Stevie Heffner, Eddie Heffner, Jacob Evans and Emily Heffner; great-grandchildren, Alayah Johnson and Weston Heffner; brother, Larry Keck and brother-in-law, Bill Ritter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Austin, Edgar, Donnie and Mac; her sisters, Virginia Keck, Thelma Ball and Evelyn Ritter.

Funeral services will take place 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Gaylord Church of Christ, 1760 S. Otsego Avenue. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Gaylord Church of Christ.
