Betty J. Tischler

Betty J. Tischler, 67 of East Jordan, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at home with her family. Born in Northville on September 9, 1950, the daughter of Paul and Ilda Kelley.

For 15 years, Betty worked as a waitress at Ottawa Casino. She enjoyed her job and loved getting to know the customers whom become her friends. She loved to cook, one of her recipes is featured in the Taste of Homes Cookbook. She also enjoyed gardening and took great pride in all the roses in her yard. She loved listening to music, spending time at the beach and window shopping. Most of all, her pride and joy was her family.

Betty is survived by her husband of 30 years, Lawrence; daughter, Kelly (David) King of Bradenton, FL; son, Jason (Christina) Krettlen of Livonia; mother, Ilda Kelley; step daughters, Sharlene (Dan) Respecki of Warren and Deneen Champine of Royal Oak; many grandchildren, step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life gathering will take place Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Greensky Hill Methodist Church, 8484 Greensky Hill Road, Charlevoix, MI 49720.
