Beth Ann Weise

Beth Ann Weise, 55 of Vanderbilt, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.   She was born on August 9, 1968, in Caro MI, and grew up in Cass City.  Beth was the daughter of Curtis Jarod (Jerry) and Theo Jeanne (McCartney) Cleland.    

 On February 26, 1994, Beth and Paul J. Weise were married in Saginaw.  They spent the first 12 years of their marriage in Virginia Beach, VA, while Paul served in the U.S. Navy.  While living there, Beth attended Tidewater Community College where she received her associate degree in information technology.  She worked for several years at Pitney-Bowes and started a web design business.  

After Paul left the U.S. Navy, they moved to Vanderbilt.   Since Beth and Paul started their family, she has been a devoted homemaker, wife, and mom.  Beth will be remembered for her artistic talents, especially painting, woodburning, playing the piano, and singing.  She had a heart for animals and loved her dogs and horses.   

Beth is survived by Paul, her husband of almost 30 years; daughters, Stephany (James) Bell and Amber Weise, both of Gaylord; her father, Jerry Cleland of Cass City; her brother Dale (Shawn Leighton) Cleland; her sister, Katha Jo Chockley of Algonac; her mother and father-in-law, Patsy and Larry Weise of Presque Isle; brothers-in-law, Larry Weise of Florida, and Tom Weise of Clare; and seven nieces and nephews.   

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in memory of Beth to Otsego County Animal Shelter.
