Barry Y. Kent

Barry Y. Kent, 56 of Pellston, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Hiland Cottage Hospice House in Petoskey. Born in Pellston on March 20, 1959, Barry was the son of Leonard and Isabelle Kent.

Barry fought a courageous battle of Lung Cancer for 2 1/2 years. He loved playing music, guitar, drums, and enjoyed fishing along with fixing cars. He lived a full life and his legacy will forever be lived on through his daughter, Ashley, as she was his pride and joy.

Barry is survived by his loving daughter, Ashley Kent of Wolverine; his brother, Larry Kent of Pellston; brother-in-law, Jim Kinner of Larks Lake; and his very good friends, Pat (Bonnie) Ball of Pellson. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Barb Kinner and Linda Elmhirst, his brother, Leslie Kent; and step-father, Tom Kruczkowski.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at McKinley Township Cemetery in Pellston. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, 1 Hiland Dr, Petoskey, MI 49770.
