Barbara Mae Duda

Barbara Mae Duda, 97 of Gaylord, Michigan passed away at home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

Born in River Rouge, Michigan on June 3, 1927, she was the daughter of Hershel and Rosebud (Rose) Daly.

On June 27, 1951, Barbara married Joseph W. Duda. They lived in Allen Park then Detroit, Michigan and later on in West Palm Beach, Florida. After the passing of her husband, Barbara moved back to Michigan to be near her family. She later moved to Ohio to live with her daughter Carla and son-in-law for a few years before moving with them to Gaylord in 2018.

Barbara was a loving and devoted wife and mother; her full-time occupation was caring for her family. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, sewing and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Joel (Kathryn) Duda, Gregory (Lena) Duda, Carla (Dale) Lack and Jennifer Farris; grandchildren Melissa, Zackery, Joseph, Gregory, Carla and Madeline; and her siblings Michelle, Liz and Joe.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, children Matthew and Charleton, and siblings Anne, Belva, Susan, Rosemary, Joan and Dennis.

A service will be held in the chapel at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Brownstown, Michigan at 1:00 PM Monday, August 12, 2024.
