Austin John Wayne Ritchie

Austin John Wayne Ritchie, 29 of Gaylord and formerly of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, at home. Born in Petoskey on October 2, 1993, he was the son of Mary (Ritchie) Robbins and Keith McBee.

In 2011, Austin graduated from Rocky Mount Senior High. He attended Northern Michigan University where he obtained his associate degree. He enjoyed disc golf, golfing, bowling, shooting pool, hunting and his camaro.

He is survived by his mother, Mary (Mike) Robbins; father, Keith (Julie) McBee; siblings, Brent Ritchie, Kelly Robbins, Landon McBee and Delaney McBee; grandmothers, Chris Ritchie and Nellie McBee; aunts, Michelle (Jamie) Hicks and Sarah (Mike) Ritchie; step-brothers, Jared Fleming and Tyas Fleming and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry McBee Sr; maternal great-grandparents, Joan (Larry) DeWaele; uncle, John Ritchie.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the Gaylord Eagles Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rocky Mount High (Boosters Club), 1400 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
