Arthur "Jim" Spencer

Arthur J. “Jim” Spencer, 73 of Wolverine, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena. Born in Taylor, Michigan on November 27, 1950, the son of August and Georgina (Spencer) Nuth.

Jim proudly served in the United States Navy for 4 years, along with a being stationed in Vietnam. Jim was a member of the Wolverine Conservation Club for several years. Jim married Sheryll on May 11, 1985. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved decorating his house and yard for the holidays, knowing how much the Wolverine Community enjoyed it.

Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sheryll; children, Edward (Kaydonna) Fischer, Angela Kimbler, Matthew Fischer and Mitchell (Denise) Fischer; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Larry Spencer.
