Arlene Marie Eilts, 52 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Friday, June 14, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born on April 24, 1961 in Gaylord, Arlene was the daughter of Donald Lee and Helen (Prusakiewicz) Wescoat. Arlene was preceded in death by her father, Donald Lee Wescoat and her daughter, Linda Renkiewicz. She is survived by her current husband, David Lee Eilts; daughter, Jessica Leah (Tony) Acrey; grandsons, Chad Knop and Devin Acrey; her mother, Helen Wescoat; brothers, Larry (Marian) Wescoat and Donald Wescoat Jr. and a sister, Sandy Falkenhagen. Also surviving are nephews, Chris and Rob and nieces, Erica, Stephanie, Carrie, Nicole and Natasha. Arlene grew up in Sparr and graduated from Johannesburg-Lewiston High School in 1979. During her first marriage, Arlene lived in Texas. In 1994 after her divorce she returned to Gaylord where she met her current husband, David Lee Eilts. They were married in 1998 and they spent the last 19 happy years together. Arlene loved her family and spending time with her husband and her pets. She also loved to go for long walks every day, she enjoyed fishing, camping, watching her favorite shows, and hunting for mushrooms on her family’s farm. She loved her ferrets and dogs, and watching birds from her window. Arlene worked as a weigh master in Texas. In Gaylord, she became a volunteer medical first responder for Otsego Lake Township. She also worked for Admiral Tobacco as a manager before leaving to help care for her father and mother the last 10 yrs of her life. Visitation will be held at Gaylord Funeral and Cremation Service on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 5-8 PM, where the St. Mary Altar Rosary Society will pray the Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 3:30 PM Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at St. Mary Cathedral where visitation will begin at 2:30 PM. A gathering and light refreshments will follow in the parish hall. Memorial contributions in memory of Arlene may be made to the family for a charity to be named later. Arrangements are by Gaylord Funeral & Cremation Service, 850 North Center Avenue.
