MEMORIAL SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS HAVE NOW BEEN CONFIRMED:

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the Indian River United Methodist Church.  Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM at the church.

Alicia D. Black, 38, of Indian River, formerly Mt. Morris, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at McLaren Northern Michigan.  Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

Alicia was born July 26, 1981 to Archie and Ruthann (Loeding) Black of Lapeer  and was a 1999 graduate of North Branch High School.  She had an infectious smile, a wicked sense of humor and an unrelenting zest for life.  While in Mt. Morris, Alicia was a member of the Dimond United Methodist Church and the Otisville Lions Club.  Most recently, she was a member of the Indian River United Methodist Church, involved with their youth group and was an enthusiastic band mom to the Inland Lakes band students.

Alicia is survived by a son, Sterling of Indian River; sisters, April (Eric) Boone of Wolverine, Ariel Black of Flint and Christine (Rich) Plasting of Hesperia, CA; nieces and nephews Avery, Kaitlin, Jayden, Juniper and Logan (Courtney); furry friends Lightning, Buddy and Mio; brothers and sisters in Christ and many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and son Quinton.

The family would like to thank Fresenius Kidney Care of Flint, Davita Dialysis of Gaylord and the nurses of McLaren Northern Michigan CVU and ICU for the wonderful care they provided.
