Dennis Dee Piper, 76 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Born on September 18, 1945 in Celina, Ohio, he was the son of William Granger and Betty Piper.
Dennis was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served his country in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He met the love of his life, Mary in Chicago and have had many wonderful years together. For 40 years he worked for Reynolds & Reynolds as a salesman in the automotive industry. He enjoyed traveling, going out to eat and spending time with his grandsons. Dennis always had a great story to tell. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary of 53 years; his son, Jason (Monica) Piper; his grandsons, Grant and Spencer Piper; his brother, Phillip (Connie) Piper and his sister, Mary Jo (Loran) Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
